This sort of doll-child lying on a deserted street in a forgotten village is in the collection of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires.
These rural and apparently abandoned villages are a recurring and emblematic image in Pont Vergés' work. Although they could come from the memories of the artist's childhood town in Corrientes, it is also possible that the inspiration comes from some villages in the north of the Argentinean province of Córdoba.
