Painted in the rain on location on the sands of the Western River at Gaoming. The fishing boats pulled in and were selling their catch on the wet sands. There is a poem on the reverse written in Chinese by a passer by who was so inspired he composed the poem in situ..
The lotus was wilting, in the pond by the pagoda, there were a few brave flowers looking to the rain.
We stood on the sand and you helped shelter as much as you could.
Boat-dwellers sharing their catch on the tiny beach where a million footsteps have melted on every tide
Eyes and hands describing the view, words written by strangers who are never unknown.
